Goose and Gander LLC is a Local Boutique Property Management and Guest Care Company

We specialize in providing meticulous care for homes that book guests exclusively through Vrbo, AirBnB,  FLARBO, and similar platforms.

Maintaining a small portfolio allows us to provide quick, consistent, five star attention for properties and 
guests alike.  We care for our client’s property and guests before, during, and after guest arrival. In addition, we care for properties with off-island owners that do not use their home as a vacation rental. 

We are happy to schedule all contractors (pest, pool, trees, etc.) with proven, tried, and true vendors or coordinate with your preferred vendor. In many cases, we can provide the service directly through our talented maintenance department.

We offer three levels of service: Full Service (property and/or guests); Home Watch; and A La Carte (customize your own plan from a list of all of our services). Please visit “Our Services” page on this website for brochures on each level of service!  All levels of service offer Home Watch.

We personally oversee the management of each home and property including the final walkthrough before guests arrive.  Flexibility is a key component of our operation whether it is maintenance related or guest related.  We are thrilled to offer your guests an initial greeting upon arrival and direct concierge experience during their stay.  Should you prefer to handle all guest relations, “we are right around the corner” for you in emergency situations!

Our success is based upon maintaining and nurturing lifetime relationships.  We are always open to suggestions and requests from our clients and guests.

We all live on Anna Maria Island and, thus, our “flip flops on the ground” are always nearby for guest or property assistance.

Company founders, Dan and Goose (Lori) Pekarek, met while working together in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers front office in Tampa in the early 90s.  One thing led to another, yadda yadda yadda, and they were married on the 50 yard line of Tampa Stadium at halftime of the Falcons vs Buccaneers game with 66,000+ in attendance! After fun careers with the Bucs, Dan went to work for the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team front office for a number of years and then began a long career in heating and air – most of it with Design Temp of Florida. Goose moved on to the USF Athletic Department/The Sun Dome, finally to spend ten awesome years with the Tampa Bay Rays. Throughout their days in Tampa, they were heavily involved in their community – Dan was a member of their condo association Board of Directors, including president, and Goose managed the front office of the property and served the board and community residents for many years in addition to her full time job.

They traded big city life for island life in 2017.

The highly inventive Maintenance Manager for Goose and Gander is Josh Schroder.  Josh moved to Anna Maria Island from Miami with his wife, Niki and daughter, Julia.  He brings a vast array of aptitude to his position ranging from his knowledge of pools, landscaping, infrastructure and mechanical, to common sense creative solutions for everyday issues.  He handily fixes items with finesse and dexterity that would normally be tossed and replaced. Not surprisingly, Josh is also a talented artist.

Rounding out the Quality Assurance team are Kelly French, Brett Lance, Tonia Anderson, Denese Love, and Gwen Sharp.  All island veterans, their keen eyes and attention to detail are crucial as each property must be checked regularly to identify even the smallest detail that may need repair or does not look or operate quite right.  We are so thankful for their resourcefulness and the great beach vibes that they bring to each day!

In addition to an outstanding staff, Goose and Gander maintains close relationships with some of the best on the island from our amazing cleaning crew, our awesome pool guys, and a multitude of specialty contacts to ensure that the homes and properties entrusted to us are pristine and at their absolute best. Our go-to cleaning crew, Pullam Enterprises, led by Bruce Pullam, consistently receives rave reviews from clients and guests. Bruce and his staff make everything fragrant, sparkling clean, and beautiful!
